Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 48, 1926. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. Cover illustration by K Yuon. Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon (1875-1958) was a Russian and Soviet painter, landscape master, theatre artist, art theorist. Academician of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1947), People's Artist of the USSR (1950), Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the first degree (1943). List of this issue's artwork included illustrations by D Moor and R Frents. Rudolf Rudolfovich Frents was a Soviet and Russian painter, watercolourist, graphic artist, illustrator, and art teacher who lived and worked in Leningrad. He was a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists and one of the founders of the Leningrad school of painting, most famous for his battle and monumental painting. Published by "Izvestiya TSIK USSR and VTSIK", 90 000 copies. Fair condition. Frontcover and the last page of the magazine are detached, the back cover is missing. Slight rubbings and tears.
