"Life of Art" was a theatre, literature, film and art magazine. It was published weekly in Leningrad from 1923-1929, succeeding the newspaper of the same title. The magazine was issued by the Regional Department for Political Education and is replete with in-depth coverage of current movements and productions, mostly in Leningrad, with profiles of prominent actors and directors. This issue includes articles such as "For the New Choreographic Theatre" by I Sollertinsky, "Spring View of the Club Scene" by V Blumenfield, "English Theatre Chasing a Brouhaha" by H Karter. Tipped-in programme for the daily schedule of that week's local theatre, ballet, music and film events. Published by the "Tea Kino Pechat". Poor condition. Frayed spine reinforced with the staples. Rubbings, staining, frayed corners. 15 pages.
