A great advertising folder for the Maybach Typ SW 38. The green folder contains a booklet, printed in German, which gives information on the engine, design and car spec. The booklet also contains 7 seperate prints by Schneider, with images of a pullman limousine, sport cabrios, a Landaulet and a Tauren Cabrio, some with sketches of the car interiors. The first Mayback W3 was introduced in 1921; although it was considered the pinnacle of engineering, the models were very large, expensive, and normally required a chaffeur. The smaller SW-38, introduced in 1936, offered a lighter, more agile and more accessible version of Maybach's outstanding engineering, capable of reaching speeds of almost 100mph. The Maybach brand now exists as part of Mercedes-Benz. Very good condition, some marks on the booklet cover.
