Mr. Midshipman Easy is an 1836 novel by Frederick Marryat, Royal Navy officer and a novelist. The novel is set during the Napoleonic Wars, in which Marryat himself served with distinction. Construstivist cover made by Aleksey Levin, Soviet graphic artist, designer, illustrator, poster artist. He was a member of a circle of Mayakovsky, Rodchenko, Malutin. Levin received the highest award Grand Prix for design of the Soviet Pavilion at the Wold Exhibition at Paris. Published by Molodaya Gvardiya, 5000 copies. Book contains six illustrations and scheme of the ocean three-masted sailboat. Poor condition, staining and rubbings, loss of paper on margins, spine is partially detached, paper handwriting and water stain on the back cover, cancelled library stamp on the inside for a back cover. Handwriting on the flyleaf and on the inside cover. Frayed pages. 234 pages.
