Dated 16 November, 1926, this is the forty-sixth volume of the weekly magazine Novyi Zritel' [The New Spectator], printed in a run of 12 500 copies and published in Moscow. The publication contains essays alongside reviews from all-Moscow theatres. Cover design for Chudesa v reshete [Чудеса в решете Miracles in the Sieve], a four act comedy by A.N. Tolstoy performed at the Moscow Drama Theatre (original title: Who Will Get It). Occasional short literature-related texts are included, as are numerous photographs and satirical drawings. Contains an article on Sinayay Bluza - Blue Blouse theatre costumes. The playbill features upcoming performances at Moscow theatres and cinemas, as well as librettos. Excellent condition, original colours of the covers preserved, paper faded, light tears on the edges, some pen notes on the covers, some stains, paper occasionally carbed, some cut-outs inside. 36 pages.
