New Spectator Novyi Zritel #50 1926

Dated 14 December, 1926, this is the fiftieth volume of the weekly magazine "Novyi Zritel'" ["The New Spectator"], printed in a run of 20 000 copies and published in Moscow. The publication contains essays, alongside reviews from all-Moscow theatres. Occasional short literature-related texts are to be found, as are numerous photographs and satirical drawings. The playbill includes upcoming performances at Moscow theatres and cinemas, as well as librettos. The photomontage of photographs from a performance of Gogol's "Revizor" is on the front cover. Good condition, original colours of the covers preserved, paper faded, light tears on the edges, some pen notes on the covers, some stains, paper occasionally carbed, the opening page missing, delicate scratches on the back cover. 32 pages.
