Prozhektor #23 1928

Issue #23 (141) of Prozhektor, a Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine, dated 3 June 1928. Prozhektor was published as a supplement to Pravda newspaper from 1923 to 1935. The issue contains a feature on the German elections, an article about Russian revolutionaries Lenin and Plekhanov, and photos from the Shakhty trial, one of the first Soviet show trials, during which 53 engineers and managers were accused of attempting to sabotage the Soviet economy. The magazine also includes poems, short stories, a range of opinion and current affairs articles, cartoons, photography and advertisements. Good condition, foxing, minor tear along spine of cover.
