Issue #43 (161) of Prozhektor, a Soviet illustrated literary and satirical magazine, dated 21 October 1928. Prozhektor was published as a supplement to Pravda newspaper from 1923 to 1935. The issue includes a photo series showing the return of the Krasina ship from an icebreaking expedition. Articles include 'The Adventures of Comrade Korkin', an article about the Russian Marxist historian Mikhail Pokrovsky, an article titled the 'Gender Problem' with photos of birds and bees and drawings of chromosomes, and an article about Parisian art with reproductions of works by Hanna Orlova, Modigliani, Utrillo, Masereel, and Tereshkovich. Includes photos of an oil pipeline being constructed, a dress factory, Bolshevik revolutionary Ivan Skvortsov-Stepanov, and a sports competition, along with stories and advertisements. Very good condition, marks, creasing.
