Original antique magazine Pugach #9 June 1917, a Russian weekly art and satirical magazine, criticizing Tsar Nicholas II, the German government and army, and the Bolsheviks led by Lenin, published in Petrograd ( St Petersburg) in 1917 from April, a total of 23 issues were published. The cover features a drawing of Nicholas II and his wife Alexandra Feodorovna reading newspapers. Includes humorous articles about government and army in pre-revolutionary Russian, illustrated with drawings and caricatures by Gustav Mootse (1885-1957), an Estonian artist, creator of ex librises and book illustrations. Published by A Drozhdinin, 15 pages. Poor condition, the cover and pages are loose, tears, creasing, staining.
