Soviet magazine Rabbis, issue number 49, 4th December 1928. First published in 1919 by Moscow publishing house 'Solianka'. A Russian arts magazine which focuses on theatre and cinema. Articles inside include a feature on Chekhov's play 'The Seagull' which was celebrating its thirtieth anniversary in Moscow, and an article on the workshop of the seminal Soviet designers, the Stenberg brothers with photos of their film posters and stage sets. List of some artwork inside: photographs from the production of 'Crimson Jam' at the Moscow Workers-Culture Theatre; an illustration of 'Sirroko' by Irina Schmidt. Good condition, the back cover is slightly creased, small tears near top staple, staining on the last page. 20 pages.
