Original vintage weekly Soviet magazine Rabochyi i Teatr Worker And Theatre #49 1925, dedicated to the current affairs of the theatre, cinema, music and circus. The cover features the scene from the play Grzhdanin Darnay / Citizen Darnay at the Young Spectator's Theatre. In 1926, the playwright Leonid Makariev staged A Tale of Two Cities for the Leningrad Youth Theater under the title Grzhdanin Darnay / Citizen Darnay. The issue includes articles on the role of theater critics; the career of Otto Klemperer, German-born orchestral conductor and composer; Iosif Schwartz concert, Yudif Serov, broadcasting of theatrical productions on the radio, reviews of various theatrical productions, and a weekly movie review. Published by the publishing house Leningradskij Gublit, printed by Krasnaja Gazeta with a run of copies 18 000. 33 pages. Poor condition, some pages are cut out, tears on the spine and cover edges, browning.
