A vivid yellow and purple picture of the famous Russian playwright Maxim Gorky by Stenberg Brothers on the front cover. Maxim Gorky is the focus of this week’s edition and inside are articles ‘About Gorky’, ‘The Revolutionary Life of Gorky’ and ‘Maxim Gorky in Nizem Novgorod’ - his home town. List of some artwork inside: illustrations by Deni to accompany the article ‘About Gorky’; various photographs of Gorky including many photographs taken by M Dmitrev; a cartoon entitled ‘The Celebratory Meeting of Maxim Gorky’; a drawing of Gorky by S V Chekhonin; a drawing of Gorky by N Andreev.
