Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 16, 17th April 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. A painting by P Komova of a Turkish revolutionary, advertisements for new releases from Soviet film house ‘Gosvoenkino’ on the back cover. This edition includes stories ‘Seedling’ and ‘The Fourth Tower’. It also features an expose on ‘The Return of Lenin’ and a feature on Gleb Uspensky, the Russian writer and figure in the Narodnik movement. List of some artwork inside: a painting by K Petrov-Vodkin entitled ‘On the Street of Paris’; illustrations by D Moor to accompany the article ‘Around Svestapol’; and a feature on the artists of Belorus.Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 24 pages.
