Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 2, 8th January 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A portrait of a woman on the front cover entitled 'In Kurgestan' by P Kotova, advertisements on the back cover for 'New World' magazine. Inside this edition is a feature on the Academic V M Beterev, other sections include the short story 'A Conversation about the Balkans' as told by Alexei Tolstoy and a poem entitled 'Kinburn Spit' by E Barginsky. List of some artwork inside: a feature on the modern art of America includes the painting Chicago, Luna Park in Coney Island and scyscrapers of New York by Louis Lozowick; photographs of Russia in the snow by U Ermina; photographs of 'Carnival in the Snow' by N Petrov; one page drawing Boxing by A Deyneka. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, stamp on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 22 pages.
