Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 20, 13th May 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A striking portrait of V V Vorovsky by V N Meshkov on the front cover, to commemorate 5 years since the revolutionary's death, various advertisements, including an advertisement for the magazine 'New World' on the back cover. This edition includes articles and photographs celebration May in Russia, including sections 'May Moscow' and photographs showing celebrations in Leningrad and the main squares. It also features articles 'About Foreign Expectation' and a poem 'The Trip' by D Brodsky. List of some artwork inside: a photomontage entitled 'Soviet Teatime'; illustrations by Brimmer to accompany the article 'About Foreign Expectation'; a photograph by N Petrov of Amanullah Khan in Moscow; two photographs depicting Late Spring 'Around Moscow' by P Novitsky and 'In Moscow' by N Petrov. Black and white drawing At the Finish Line by A Deyneka. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 24 pages.
