Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 21, 22nd May 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. A painting ‘Krectvyan Girl’ by A E Arhipov on the front cover, a landscape by K Mone ‘Stack’ of a haystack, on the back cover. This edition includes the stories ‘Avarice’ by Shishkov and ‘Boots’ by B Guber. It also includes an extended feature on ‘The International Children’s Week’. List of some artwork inside: a photograph entitled ‘Fires and Bonfires’ by F P Zubkov; a drawing by I Lvov; illustrations by K Yelisyeeva to accompany the article ‘People on Wheels’. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume, front and back covers detached. 24 pages.
