Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 21, 20th May 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A vibrant drawing 'Football' by A Deyneka on the front cover, various advertisements on the back cover. This edition includes a feature on A D Tsiurpura a short story 'Scaffold' by L Joltikevich and an article about a new town advertising the fact 'Here will be a Park of Culture and Relaxation'. List of some artwork inside: a drawing of the recently deceased Tsiurupa - a state party figure; photographs accompanying the article 'Our Sports Records'; photographs by N Petrov for the article 'Not Scheduled' and a humorous caricature of a poetesse Vera Inber by E Mandelberg. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on both covers, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume, pencil writing on the last page filling out the 'Puzzle Section'. 20 pages.
