Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 22, 22nd May 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Biweekly magazine. A painting of Central Asia by E. Lanceray on the front cover, another painting entitled ‘Laundresses’ by A E Arhipov on the back cover. This edition includes the short story ‘Storm’ by L Slavin and poems ‘The North Sea’ and ‘Mill’. It also features an article entitled ‘In the Spring Fields’. List of some artwork inside: a photograph entitled ‘Protest Against the London Raid’ by N Petrov; a painting ‘Returning with the Bazaar’ by P Konchalovsky; various photographs of statues; full page caricature by Kukryniksy of Moscow seen through the eyes of Pilnyak after his trip to Japan; illustrations by Y Pimenov.
