Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 28, 10th July 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A painting by Deni entitled ‘White Terror’ of a man with a gun emerging from curtains decorated with Union Jacks, on the front cover. Another painting by Deni on the back cover entitled ‘The Conservator Bouquet’. This edition includes the stories ‘Yashka’ and ‘Concert’ as well as the poems ‘Fair’ and ‘Excursions in the Tavrid’. List of some artwork inside: a painting ‘In the World’s Arena’ by E Mandelberg; a photograph of the ‘Red Army in the Camp’ by N Petrov; and a painting by E Mandelberg depicting the arms of the English militia stretching into the USSR, article Evil Genius of Britain - Winston Churchill. Good condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 24 pages.
