Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 33, 14th August 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A colourful painting of a women riding camels and bulls on the front cover, and another by I Mashikov entitled 'In the Crimean Sanatoriumt' on the back cover. This edition includes the illustrated short story 'The Service of Pan' by Mikael Prishvin, a long feature on 'Work' by P Tevinsky and even some verse, including the poem 'The End' by V Nacedkin. List of some artwork inside: 'Nizhny-Novogorod's Fair' by S Petrov; full page drawing Moscow in the Summer by V Lushin; and a collection of foreign cartoons in the section 'Foreign Humour', illustrations by Y Pimenov. Fair condition, cuts and wear long the spine, a stamp mark on the back cover, cropped long the bottom edge, writing on the front cover obscured, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 24 pages.
