Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 35, 28th August 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A painting on the front cover of a peasant couple at work is entitled 'On the land for Tomorrow', the artist's name is obscured. A landscape by V Van Gogh entitled 'After the rain' on the back cover. This edition includes the articles 'The Cloak' by S Malashkin and 'Uzbek' as well as a feature on food entitled 'Bread, Butter, Vegetables'. List of some artwork inside: a large photograph entitled 'Brothers Meeting' by V Loboda depicts a meeting of two young pioneers - one French, one German, in Moscow; illustrations by A Deyneka to accompany the article 'The Cloak';two page spread on the artwork of V Lebedev with some of his illustrations. Full page illustration by Y Pimenov of a film shot at the collective farm. Good condition, cuts and rubbing along the spine, cropped along the bottom edge so some writing on the front cover is obscured, large ink stain on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 24 pages.
