Soviet weekly magazine Red Field, issue №39, 20 Dec 1930. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Constructivist cover by R. Frentz, Soviet and Russian painter, watercolorist, graphic artist, illustrator, and art teacher. This issue contains article "Lenin in 1905" by P. Lepeshinsky, professional revolutionary, party leader, writer; "Atrocities of the Tsar's government in 1905" by K. Eremeev, Russian revolutionary, Soviet military leader, journalist; "First work" by A. Voronsky, Russian Bolshevik revolutionary, writer, literary critic and art theorist. Contains reproductions of works by such artists as B. Vladimirsky, Soviet artist and graphic artist. One of the most prominent representatives of socialist realism in painting. And B. Kustodiev, a Russian and Soviet painter and stage designer, one of the founders the first professional "Employment of the Union of Artists" in St. Petersburg. As well as G. Gorelov, Russian and Soviet artist. Honoured Artist of the RSFSR. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK". Poor condition, rusty staples, loss of material on the spine and on margins. Spine is partially detached. Frayed pages, bent corners of pages. Pencil handwriting on the bottom of back cover. Staining and dusting. 18 pages.
