Soviet weekly magazine Red Field, issue №39, 2 Sept 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Constructivist cover. Illustrated by various artists, such as Yu. Pimenov, Russian and Soviet painter, theatre designer, master of the Soviet advertising poster; K. Eliseev, Russian Soviet graphic artist and theatre and film artist; E. Lanceray, Russian graphic artist, painter, sculptor, mosaicist, and illustrator, associated stylistically with Mir Iskusstva (the World of Art); A. Osmerkin, Russian and Soviet painter, graphic artist, stage designer and art teacher. This issue contains story "Last revision" by P. Shiryaev, Russian Soviet writer and translator; story "Vovka" by E. Russat, essay "Street children" by L. Rimsky, article "Park of culture and rest" by S. Nikonov, article "Artist K.S. Petrov-Vodkin" focusing on career of notable artist and contains several art works. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK", 110 000 copies. Poor condition, cover and pages are detached. Staples are missing. Was part of bound yearly volume. Tears and loss of material on the spine. Minor dusting, rubbings and staining. Pencil handwriting on the last page.
