Soviet weekly magazine Red Field, issue №42, October 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Constructivist cover has painting of a mother with a child by Gino Severini, Italian painter, graphic artist and sculptor. This issue contains story "Kolchak and Falpos" written by N. Zarudin, Russian Soviet poet and prose writer; article "Over that side" by M. Nekrich; "Letters about literature. From heroics to everyday life" by D. Gorbov and essay "What's the time?" by D. Mollori. Illustrated by such artists: P. Shukhmin, Soviet painter, graphic artist, poster artist, teacher. Author of genre works on a historical and revolutionary theme, portraitist; P. Staronosov, Russian Soviet engraver, who worked in the technique of woodcut and linocut; Frans Masereel, Belgian artist, representative of left expressionism, known especially for his woodcuts and wordless novels; Deni, Russian satirist, cartoonist and poster artist. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK", 110 000 copies. Poor condition, cover and pages are detached. Staples are missing. Was part of bound yearly volume. Tears and loss of material on the spine and on margins. Dusting, rubbings and staining. Cancelled library stamp on the back cover. Pencil handwriting on the last page. 20 pages.
