Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 46, 13th November 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. A painting ‘Uprising’ by A Kozlova on the front cover, advertisements on the back cover and back pages. Inside features include a story ‘The Tenth Snow’, and articles and photographs on ‘The Foreign Delegation on The October Celebrations’, as well as a poem ‘About the River’ by Andrei Zvenigorodsky and a feature on Panait Istrati, the famous Romanian working class writer. List of some artwork inside: various photographs of the ‘Foreign Delegation in the October Celebrations’, the ‘Soviet Embassy in Poland’ and ‘The Walk of Rich Artists’; illustrations by A Mogilevsky accompanying the story ‘The Tenth Snow’; a double page spread painting ‘Peasants in Samar’ by S Karpov; various constructivist drawings by V Favorsky and N Kupreyanov and others, special feature on Revolutionary Engraving.
