Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 49, 2nd December 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A photograph by D Debabov entitled 'Whistle' on the front cover, an advertisement for Soviet production studio 'Sovkino' on the back cover. Included in this edition is an illustrated story 'Hero' by A Platonov, and articles on 'The Insurrections in Factories in China' and another feature 'Women - The Builder of Socialism'. List of some artwork inside: photographs from the third season of the 8th Party Congress by N Petrov; illustrations by P Alyakrinsky to accompany the short story 'Hero'; a drawing 'On the River' by S Gerasimov; another drawing 'The Worker's Square in Moscow' by Miturichev, full page drawing Street by A Deyneka and a full page feature Modern Engraving Burning of Burkha by A Kravchenko . Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume. 22 pages.
