Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 5, 29th January 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A painting of the ‘First May Parade with a View of Red Square from the Aeroplanes’ by A Labas, various articles on the back cover. This edition includes the stories ‘Aroma of Violets’ and ‘Night in Brodve’, as well as a collection of poetry ‘Frost’ by A Zvenigorodsky and ‘The North’ by P Radimov, there is also a feature on A S Serafimovich, the Soviet writer and member of the literary group Sreda. List of some artwork inside: a photograph of M P Tomsky; a painting ‘Walkers with Kalinin’ by K Kadmon; a page displaying sculptures of the ten years since October.Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume, front and back covers detached. 24 pages.
