Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 50, 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A portrait of the Bolshevik Revolutionary M Kalinin by A Arhipov on the front cover, various advertisements on the back cover. Inside this edition are the illustrated short stories 'Manual Pigeon' by V Lazarev and 'Yellow Bohemia' by B Zilbert. It also includes some poetry, including the poem 'Motherland' by P Radimov and an article examining the health regimes at universities. List of some artwork inside: 'Political Prison' a drawing by Gora; a painting 'Patio and Erasing' by S Araakelyan; illustrations by Y Pimenov to accompany the short story 'Yellow Bohemia'; fill page anti-imperialist political cartoon by V Deni. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume, bottom edge of magazine cropped. 24 pages.
