Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 51, 18th December 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A painting by F Bogorodsky 'Volga Cargo Loaders' on the front cover, various advertisements on the back cover. Inside this edition is a feature on the 50th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, and articles entitled 'Old Partisan' and 'Old Man'. List of some artwork inside: a large photograph of Comrade Stalin taken by N Petrov; a photomontage of images celebrating the 50th Congress of the Communist Party; illustrations by K Yeliseeva to accompany the article 'Emigrant about Himself'; a painting 'Work' by V Kassyan. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume, top edge of magazine cropped. 24 pages.
