Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 52, 31st July 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. A painting from the Soviet Collection of Artists on the front cover, newspaper advertisements on the back cover. Inside are the illustrated short stories 'Chinese Vase' by A Yakovlev and 'Hot Winter' by N Larionov. There is also an extended feature 'New Village' about proposed amendments to the village structure. List of some artwork inside: a photograph 'The Readers' of children reading the magazine 'Red Field' by N Petrov; illustrations by K Kuzietsov to accompany the short story 'Chinese Vase'; a painting entitled 'Nomads' by V Falileev; a drawing 'Soviet Army' by P Shilingovsky; full page caricature drawing New Year Bill by B Efimov. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume, bottom edge of magazine cropped. 32 pages.
