Soviet Magazine Red Field, issue number 6, 5th February 1928. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. Weekly magazine. Painting of a peasant farmer on the front cover, various advertisements on the back cover. This edition includes the story ‘In the Dead Hour’ by K Trenev, as well as a double page spread, accompanied by photographs on ‘The Victims of Alcohol’. List of some artwork inside: a drawing by K Rotov entitled ‘We Take Out’; a painting by G Fedorov ‘Soviet Holiday in the Village’; various photographs by Sibirakov; the painting ‘October in the Village’ by A Padimov; illustrations by A Deyneka. Fair condition, cuts and wear along the spine, faint stamp mark on the back cover, unbound copy from a yearly subsciption volume, magazine cropped slightly at the top and bottom edges.
