Original vintage Soviet weekly magazine Red Field, issue №27, 11 September 1927. First published in 1922 by the Central Executive Committee of the Soviet Union. The constructivist cover features a drawing of runners by Yuri Pimenov, a famous Russian Soviet painter, graphic artist, theater artist, and teacher, member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1962); the back cover features a painting In the Crimean sanatorium by Ilya Mashkov, a Russian artist, one of the most significant and at the same time most characteristic painters of the circle of "Jack of Diamonds". The issue includes a portrait of Maxim Gorky and article about his life in Nizhny Novgorod, a Russian writer, and political activist by artist V. Serov; a story by Kataev; holidays in The Dulber Palace sanatorium in Crimea; English football workers in the USSR; protests of workers in Europe; construction of Novosibirsk; new powerful passenger locomotives; the Kornilov putsch, an attempted military coup d'état by the commander-in-chief of the Russian Army, General Lavr Kornilov; drawings and photographs by artists K Eliseev, Y Eremina, V Konashevich, Y Ganf, G Efros, V Lebedev, N Radlov. Published by "Izvestij TSIK USSR and VTSIK", 25 pages. Poor condition, tears on the spine and cover, some pages are loose, stain, pencil marks, browning.
