Original reference Russian revolutionary posters: from Civil War to Socialism Realism, from Bolshevism to the end of Stalin from the David King Collection at Tate Modern. David King was a British writer, designer, and historian of graphic design who collected one of the largest collections of Soviet graphics and photographs. From this collection, he created a series of revelatory books unfolding the history of the Russian Revolution, and its associated art and propaganda. The issue features colour images of hundred and fifty of political and cultural posters during the periods of Constructivism, Socialist Realism, World War Two. The book includes such artists as El Lissitzky, Nina Vatolina, Aleksandr Apsit, Dmitry Moor, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Viktor Deni, Nikolai Kogout, Alexander Zelensky, Nikolay Kochergin, Alexander Naumov, Gustav Klutsis and others.
