Original vintage Soviet constructivist magazine Science and Technology Nauka i Tehnika #14 July 1937. Nauka i Tehnika was a monthly magazine on scientific and technical breakthroughs in the USSR. The cover features a drawing of a ship by Yevgeny Voyshvillo, a Russian artist, best known for his work in the field of book illustration and seascape graphics. The issue includes articles about shells of modern artillery; modern flamethrowers; a device for testing metals for hardness; modern use of invisible rays; new scientific inventions in the USSR and abroad, such as a new gas generator for hydrogen, frost-resistant rubber, a new bus signaling system; a pedal plane, a stratostat or high-altitude balloons invented by Auguste Piccard, a Swiss physicist, inventor and explorer known for his record-breaking hydrogen balloon flights, with which he studied the Earth's upper atmosphere; and others accompanied by illustrations and schemes.
