Constructivist film magazine Soviet Movie Screen, issue number 2, 10th January 1928 1928. Printed in Moscow. Weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The cover images is a still taken from the film ‘Beneath the Arches of the Mosque’, and an Arabic translation accompanies the Russian description. Another still from the film adorns the back cover. Inside there are articles about ‘The first film about radio’ and Charlie Chaplin’s new film ‘The Clown’. List of artwork inside:Various photomontage advertisements for the weekly periodical ‘Soviet Movie Screen’ as it is introduced; an illustratration by artist Usova to accompany the article ‘The Authors with Discounts’ by Shershenivich; an illustration by artist Yanoshka to accompany the article ‘Father Photography’ by Hadji-Murat; a photographic advertisement for Armenian film “Хаз-Пуш” (Chas-Push). Good condition, small creases in the bottom right hand corners. Page 11/12 has been torn out. 13 pages.
