Constructivist film magazine Soviet Movie Screen, issue number 24, 12th June 1928. Printed in Moscow. Weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. Photograph on front cover with a scene from the film ‘Girl with a Distant River’. A photographic still from the film ‘People in Leather Helmets’ is on the back cover. A photomontage of the recent project of Sovkino ‘Little Ones and Big Ones’, a film directed by D. Bassalivo on the back cover. List of some artwork inside: The ‘Story about an Unfortunate Event’ is accompanied by surrealist paintings to illustrate the story by A. Rezaistev; a cartoon strip entitled ‘Not much Humour’ by M. Getmansky; two photo cartoons of D. Bertov, one entitled ‘Six parts of Peace’ the other entitled ‘The Eleventh’ by M. Clutskovo; a photomontage entitled ‘Diverse Little Country’ shows recent events in Soviet film and cinema. Including a still from a Sovkino film about the Lenin Mountains in Moscow. Very good condition, a small red cross in the top left corner of the front cover, stain, small tear on bottom of the spine. 15 pages.
