Constructivist film magazine Soviet Movie Screen, issue number 7, 14th February 1928. Printed in Moscow. Weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. Front cover shows actress ‘Ada Voistik’ in a photographic still from the Sovkino produced film ‘Bulat-Batir’. An advertisement for the film ‘The Eleventh’ directed by M. Kaufman adorns the back cover. The articles inside include ‘Cinema and Children’ and ‘The Hunt with the Cameraman’. List some of the artwork inside: A photograph entitled ‘Kazakhstan’ by Stepanov; a photograph entitled ‘Behind the seals in the polar ice’ by Valentin; a photomontage advertising the film ‘Bulat-Batir’; a photograph of the seminal director A. Dovjenko. Good condition, small tears and stains on the front cover, and a crease where the magazine has been folded. Small red cross in the top left hand corner, small blue pen mark across the top edge of the front cover. 15 pages.
