Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #38 September 1928. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The cover features a still from the film The House on the Volcano (Dom na vulkane), a 1928 Soviet film directed by Amo Bek-Nazaryan; the back cover features actors from the film Yal, produced by Chuvashkino. The issue features articles about operator Bohonov, the film Shalanda Potemkin or Black Sails, script by K. Feldman and G. Shipov, directed by S. Yutkevich, produced by the Leningrad Sovkino factory with photographs of the actors; movie The Light City, a 1928 Soviet film, directors Ivan Pravov, Olga Preobrazhenskaya; foreign actors Harold Lloyd, an American actor, comedian, and stunt performer who appeared in many silent comedy films. Considered one of the most influential film comedians of the silent film era and Paul Wegener, a German actor, writer, and film director known for his pioneering role in German expressionist cinema; a portrait of Teinosuke Kinugasa, a Japanese filmmaker. Published by publishing house Teakinopechat, 15 pages. poor condition, the cover is loose and taped, the pages are loose, tears on the cover and spine, browning.
