The cover features a still from the film The House on the Volcano (Dom na vulkane), a 1928 Soviet film directed by Amo Bek-Nazaryan; the back cover features actors from the film Yal, produced by Chuvashkino. The issue features articles about operator Bohonov, the film Shalanda Potemkin or Black Sails, script by K. Feldman and G. Shipov, directed by S. Yutkevich, produced by the Leningrad Sovkino factory with photographs of the actors; movie The Light City, a 1928 Soviet film, directors Ivan Pravov, Olga Preobrazhenskaya; foreign actors Harold Lloyd, an American actor, comedian, and stunt performer who appeared in many silent comedy films. Considered one of the most influential film comedians of the silent film era and Paul Wegener, a German actor, writer, and film director known for his pioneering role in German expressionist cinema; a portrait of Teinosuke Kinugasa, a Japanese filmmaker.
