Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #41 1928. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front cover features a still from the film Mutiny (Myatezh), a 1928 Soviet war drama film directed by Semyon Tymoshenko based on the novel of the same name by Dmitry Furmanov; the back cover features the actor Cherkasov in the film Luna sleva, a 1928 Soviet silent feature film directed by Alexander Ivanov. The issue includes articles about the film Eliso, a 1928 Soviet silent adventure film directed by Nikoloz Shengelaia and loosely based on the short story by Alexander Kazbegi, made in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, featuring actor Kokhta Karalashvili; production of the film Glass Eye, the silent feature film (the second name is "Film about the film"), directed by Lilya Brik and Vitaly Zhemchuzhny in 1928 at the Mezhrabpomfilm studio; various animations with works by artists Cherkes and Ivanov; portrait of the director N.
