Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #15 April 1929. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front cover features a photograph by L. Tumanov of the actor K. Nazarenko as Chirkov in the film The Black Sail, directed by Sergei Yutkevich; the back cover features a photograph by I. Bohonov of the scene from the film the Rift. The issue includes various advertisements; the articles about the Rivals (Sopernitsy), a 1929 Soviet black-and-white silent artistic and ethnographic film; cinema production in the east; Gates of the Caucasus - travel notes taken by director Lebedev and cameraman Belyakov; new technical inventions in filming; cinema production in Berlin; and others. Published by publishing house Teakinopechat, 15 pages. Poor condition, spine and some pages are loose, tears on the spine and some pages, browning.
