Original vintage Constructivist film magazine Soviet Screen Sovetsky Ekran #7 January 1929. It was a weekly magazine on recent developments in film in the USSR. The front cover features a photograph of the actress E. Lenskaya in the film Rivals by N. Bozhanov, the back cover features a photograph of the actor V. Pudovkin in the film The Happy Canary by B. Kozlov. The issue includes various advertisements; the articles about film making in Germany; film actors in the movie The General Line, also known as Old and New, a 1929 Soviet drama film directed by Sergei Eisenstein and Grigori Aleksandrov; ways of collaboration with Western film productions with photographs by Petrov; about director Sergei Eisenstein and his movies; Louis Forestier, a French and Soviet cinematographer; and others. Published by publishing house Teakinopechat, 15 pages. Fair condition, some pages are loose, tears on the spine and some pages, browning.
