Stroyim - We Are Building #2 1938

Issue #2 of Soviet photojournalism magazine Stroyim (We Are Building), published 1938. This issue focuses on the life of Georgian Bolshevik and Soviet politician Sergo Ordzhonikidze. The cover shows a sculpture of him by V Ingal and V Bogolyubov; inside, photos show Ordzhonikidze in prison, waving to crowds, in military desk and at a building site. The issue also features an article on Baku,'the city of oil', with a great selection of photos of the city, architecture and port. Fair condition, staining, front cover is water damaged, tears and wearing along spine, folded horizontally.
