Stroyim - We Are Building #3 1937

Issue #3 of Stroyim (We Are Building), a Soviet photojournalism magazine. Published in 1937. This is great issue dedicated to the life and works of Pushkin; the cover features a great portrait of Pushkin sat on a bench. Inside, the magazine contains portraits of Pushkin as a child and of his wife, a drawing by Pushkin of Voltaire, and various ephemera. Other articles focus on the Magnitorsky Iron and Steel Works, and Ivan Lagoda, a border guard who received the Order of the Red Banner. A photo report shows Mount Sergo Orzhonikidze, two men singing and playing piano at the Kiev conservatoire, and various photos of factory workers. Poor condition, foxing, staining, browning, creasing, damage along the spine. Folded horizontally.
