Stroyim - We Are Building #5 1938

Issue #5 of Stroyim (We Are Building), a Soviet photojournalism magazine. Published 1938. This is a great issue which includes an article on the return of the North Pole-1 expedition from the near-polar zone. Includes great photos of the crew, Papanin, Ernst Krepkel, Yevgeny Fyodorov and Petr Shishov, on ice floes and using scientific equipment, and photos of the Murman and the Taimyr (the icebreakers which transported them home). Another article focuses on mining and transporting coal. Poor condition, folded horizontally with a large tear across the fold, creasing, staining, tears and paper losses.
