The publication released on the occasion of the Festival of Music in Leningrad, held between 20 and 30 May, 1934, it contains essays on the following: the musical movement in the USSR, Alexander Borodin, the music festivals in Leningrad, the philharmonic hall in Leningrad, the opera theatres in Leningrad, the Hermitage Theatre. Texts are richly accompanied with illustrations and photographs of the described places. The composers, whose music was played during the festival, are portrayed in the middle of the issue (Steinberg, Shostakovich, Glinka, Rimski-Korsakoff, Miaskovsky, Knipper, Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky). The whole playbill is to be found, too. Great condition, tears on the edges, occasional stains, corners curved, delicate cuts along the spine, colours preserved. 24 pages
