Original vintage brochure The S. M. Kirov Model Collective Fishery / Fisherei - Musterkolchos «S. M. Kirow» in English and German. The brochure is dedicated to the fishing collective farm in the Estonian SSR named after Sergei Mironovich Kirov, a Soviet politician and Bolshevik revolutionary whose assassination led to the first Great Purge. Kirov was an early revolutionary in the Russian Empire and member of the Bolshevik faction of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party. The brochure covers the history of the creation of the collective farm over its 35 years, production activities, examples of products, working conditions, and opportunities for the workers in their spare time. The brochure is illustrated by statistical graphs and charts, and photographs by Priit Estna and Gustav German, designed by Mati Veermets. Published by publishing house Perioodika, Tallinn, 24 pages. Good condition, tears on the spine and cover, folds, rusted staples, minor stain and foxing, creasing.
