Exhibition catalogue by the Hayward Gallery 7 March - 19 May 1991, organised by the South Bank Centre and All-Union Artistic Production Association, Moscow. Edited and produced by Michael Paeburn, designed by Daxid Warner. It was the first Russian turn-of-the-century exhibition on this scale in the West. Participating Museums: the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; the State Russian Museum, Leningrad; the State Historical Museum, Moscow; the State Lenin Library, Moscow; the State Shchusev Museum of Architecture, Moscow; the State Museum of Art, Saratov. Consists of 23 chapters with descriptions of paintings from the Tretyakov Gallery, graphic art, drawing and design, sculpture, style moderne, and other movements, accompanied by photographs and images of works by such artists as Ivan Bilibin, Natalia Goncharova, Boris Anisfeld, Mikhail Nesterov, Elena Polenova, Mikhail Vrubel, Sergey Malyutin, Viktor Vasnetsov, Leon Bakst, Anna Golubkina, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Lev Bruni, Kazimir Malevich, Valentin Serov, Fyodor Schechtel, Boris Kustodiev, Konstantin Somov and others.
