The World Revolution Literature was the only magazine in the USSR that comprehensively covered the cultural life of the West and the East, dedicated to the international proletarian and revolutionary literature and art. The magazine began to appear in 1931 and received the subtitle “international”. The title page is decorated with the slogan “Workers of all countries, unite!” The main purpose of the magazine was to give the workers of the whole world, "instead of foreign and hostile literature, the literature of the world revolution." The “revolutionism” of the magazine was emphasized by a new design with characteristic constructivist fonts and layout. This issue includes stories entitled "Coccons" by F Hayashi, "Death Of The Communists" by W Chembers, and other articles and stories by the authors such as S Anderson, T Dreizer, V Masson. Illustrations by William Gropper, a U.S. cartoonist, painter, lithographer, and muralist. Poor condition. Cover is frayed and detached. The spine is worn. Rubbings, discolouration and dust staining on the cover and pages. Published by GOSLITIZDAT 1932. 136 pages.
