French language version of URSS en Construction (USSR in Construction), issues #7-8 1934. USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. These issues are devoted to sport in the Soviet Union, and contain some excellent examples of photomontage and photography. A double page spread of photos shows the prevalence of exercise in the USSR, with images of a morning gymnastics session on an office building's roof, workers doing exercises in a factory, a school PE lesson, and farmers at a Kolkhoz exercising. The magazine also features photos of the Dynamo stadium in Mosocow, and photos of people training for football, diving, rowing, running, handball, basketball, volleyball, ice hockey and more. Fair condition, creases, staining, some pages have come loose.
