English language version of USSR in Construction issue #12 1935, devoted to 'The Fearless Soviet Parachutists'. USSR in Construction was a constructivist publication dedicated to construction projects and industry in the USSR, published in Russian, French, English, and German 1930 to 1941 as a collaboration between some of the most esteemed Soviet artists of the time. This is a fascinating issue with great examples of photography from A Rodchenko, A Sterenberg, M Rosenbaum and G Petrusov. Images show parachutists jumping from planes, training, preparing equipment and more. Art composition and arrangement by A Rodchenko and Barabara Stepanova, with diagrams from M Maliutin, and text written by Leo Kassil. Poor condition, large tears, creases, staining, pencil writing on back cover, small paper losses, centre pages seperated.
